Driving from Nanaimo to Victoria we decide to make a pit stop and check out one of the majestic waterfalls near Goldstream park. 

Just 5 minutes off of the highway, it's worth the stop.

Grab your kids, pets, friends (or borrow some if you don't have your own) and head out to Notch Hill in Nanoose-just outside of Nanaimo.
It's a steep climb to the top, but the view is definitely worth it.

Head to Nanoose and make a right or left at the petro Canada gas station on Northwest Bay road. Just past the E&N railway tracks, make a right on Powderpoint road. After about 3.5 kms you will see the trailhead on your right.
